love does not make the world go round
February is cold and dark so I'm going to fill it with things that will brighten up the days. Coulson Macleod was formed in 2009 and is a UK based art business specialising in the design and production of hand-made typography based artwork printed onto natural and reclaimed materials including wood, metal, stone, fabric and recycled paper. I've fallen in love with this Coulson Macleod print as it makes me smile. Perhaps I need it on my desk.

more mittens
So, you've given in to temptation and bought yourself a pair of Kate Spade mittens but if you're like me then you are more then likely to lose one of them. These mitten clips are meant for children - you attach them to the mitten and to your coat. There are lots of gorgeous designs and I quite like the idea of investing in a pair. After all we're all big kids really aren't we?

cold hands..
The weather has turned chilly again so it's all about gloves, mittens and warm hands for me. Loving these turquoise mittens from Kate Spade that mean that I'll be ready for any impromptu snowball fights - if the dreaded white stuff comes back...

sweet snacks
These are for all those out there who love sweets, crisps and all things delicious. Martha Mitchell has produced these mugs, cups, plates and bowls all decorated with gorgeous hand drawn images from crisp packets, haribo sweet packets and all the things we love to eat. I love the bowls and the cake stand. They're irresistable... like the sweets (and they're not very expensive so a bit of a bargain too!).

a little bird told me
Not such a little treat - but I've not been feeling very well so think I might deserve a present. I discovered jewellery designer Yuko Hotta at a craft fair in Islington just before Christmas. I was very tempted by her lovely necklaces but didn't give in to my shopaholic tendancies. I'm not sure that I can last the whole of January though.....

mandarin kisses
I think January is going to be a month of little treats. Things to pick you (and me) up and make us smile. Just before Christmas I got sent a surprise gift, which is always a good thing. It was this delicious Mandarin Kiss Lip Repair Balm from Alexandra Soveral, organic beauty genius and maker of all things completely delicious. It's only £15, it's yummy and will make smiling so much easier...

happy new year
Sorry for the radio silence. Holidays and sickness have taken their toll but I'm back now. Everyone needs a little something to help with the winter blues, don't they? So spend the £3.50 and treat yourself to some Jello Babes from Rococo (either on Marylebone High Street, Kings Road or online) and your day will be brightened up. For sure.
