Diptique candles are one of my favourite things in the world. They're a treat. They smell delicious. Each Christmas they bring out special seasonal scents.. (and that's normally my cue to go shopping). This year there are three new smells - all amazing but my favourite is the spiced orange one. The only trouble is that once their smells are filling your house you'll never want to go out into the real world again.

cold feet
It's freezing. My feet are very cold. So I've added cashmere socks to my wish list for Santa. I love these ones from The White Company. I just hope that Santa hears my plea and that a pair make their way to my house. Soon.

the bag lady

My friend just put a picture of this bag on twitter. It's her brother's company, Beast Of Burden, and it is gorgeous. There's not really very much more to say about it... apart from the fact that I now really want one. Of course.

thank you
What do you buy the team that does everything for you? How do you say thank you for working really hard, being lots of fun and creating great things. Well coffee, alcohol and gingerbread biscuits from konditor & cook are a good start.
living & giving..
I want every post on my blog to be about something lovely - and I thought that would mean posting about lots of things that I (and maybe you) would want to buy or have in your life. But even after just two posts I think it's going to be about a bit more than that, not just about things to buy but also about interesting, special places to go and buy them too. So, I'm really excited that Mary Portas is opening a new Living & Giving Shop in Primrose Hill on December 18, just around the corner from my house (well 109 Regents Park Road is closer than the Notting Hill branch) filled with lots of gorgeous things made by lots of talented people - and raising money for Save the Children. It's all in a good cause. It's a real life version of my blog. I love it.

sparkle, sparkle..

These lovely tightst stopped me in my tracks when I saw them in a shop window the other day. They'll add a bit of sparkle to your little black party dress or could just brighten up any outfit for a winter's day at work. Either way at less than £10 you can get them online here . I want a pair to brighten up my day now!

lovely gloves...
Whether buttery leather or cosy cashmere everyone has a favourite pair of gloves to keep their hands warm. My new favourites are these beautiful turquoise ones, £28 from the V&A shop. Not only do they look pretty but they have special "touch" technology that means you can use your blackberry or iphone with them on. I might just have to treat myself...
